Sydney - Saatchi & Saatchi has announced its appointment by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to produce a campaign to raise awareness of The Australian Honours.
The agency won the account in a competitive three-way credentials and strategic pitch process through the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Simone Bartley said the task of raising the profile of such awards as The Order of Australia and Bravery medals would be an honour in itself.
"In many ways we define ourselves as Australians through our heroes,'' said Ms Bartley. "But heroism is a broad term that applies to the whole spectrum of Australian life from acts of charity to high achievement."
"The goal of our advertising and design campaign will be to reach out to more Australians and to encourage them to nominate those whose achievements deserve to be publicly acknowledged.''
Julian Melhuish, Creative Director of Saatchi Design will lead the project. The win follows Saatchi & Saatchi's success at Cannes where the agency picked up silver and bronze Design Lions for their Sydney Writers' Festival and Sydney Youth Orchestra campaigns.
