Oslo - Saatchi & Saatchi is the first advertising agency in
Scandinavia ever to win gold in Facebook's advertising prize ' Facebook Studio
Awards '. Saatchi & Saatchi Norway
won gold for its campaign "Try my Hybrid " for client Toyota. Facebook Studio Awards 2014 is the 3rd
edition of the awards.

such results and recognition for creative work , you need a good agency and a
good and brave client. I can not
emphasize enough that Toyota Norway is one such client.” said Jon Fredrik Sandengen,
CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi.
Judges included; Jeff Benjamin, CCO of JWT; Michael
Canning, ECD Leo Burnett New York; Bella Castano, Creative at Mother; and Mark
D’Arcy, CCO of Facebook.
The ‘Try my Hybrid’ enabled Toyota Hybrid owners to let
people test drive their cars with the help of a Facebook app. The campaign was a tremendous success and
nearly 2.8 million people knew a Toyota Hybrid owner either directly or
indirectly.

Try My Hybrid is a simple, genius idea spurred by
a great insight. Rather than having salesmen persuade car shoppers, the
campaign allowed existing hybrid owners to lend a hand. The service features
real Toyota owners, who let strangers, neighbors and friends (and friends of
friends) test-drive their hybrids. Through Facebook, people were able to locate
friends who owned Toyota Hybrids, and identify friends of friends who could
take them out for a test drive allowing for an honest and trustworthy
conversation. The campaign was met with great results, with one-third of
Norwegians remembering the campaign, and every Norwegian on Facebook (roughly
2.8 million people) either knew, or indirectly knew, a Toyota Hybrid owner they
could go for a test drive with.
