Singapore - Scoot™, the long-haul
low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines Group, today announced the appointment
of Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore to handle creative duties for the brand
following an open tender to agencies issued in July.
The airline currently
operates medium–to-long haul flights between Singapore and ten cities – Sydney,
Gold Coast, Bangkok, Tianjin, Taipei and Tokyo, Shenyang, Qingdao, Nanjing and
Seoul – focusing on providing a fun, fuss-free and great value way to travel.
Speaking about the
appointment, Campbell Wilson, CEO of Scoot said, “Scoot has grown rapidly since
our first flight in June 2012 and, with 20 787’s to join the fleet from late 2014,
we have ambitious plans. As a key partner in our expansion, Saatchi & Saatchi
have demonstrated a deep understanding of the Scoot values, principles,
attitude and desire to challenge convention – our Scootitude, as we call it.
We’re not your usual airline, and Saatchi has proven to us that they’re not
your usual Agency. We think that’s a good basis to start our relationship and
looking forward to a fruitful collaboration.”
Paul Roebuck, CEO of
Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Malaysia added, “We’ve enjoyed working with
Scoot throughout the course of the tender process. It has proven to be a great
fit for both of us and I think our cultures share a lot in common. We’re
excited about all the things we’re going to do together.”
