Tokyo’s ‘Dream Car of the Day’ campaign has been awarded two Bronze Lotus at
ADFEST 2015. The campaign was a first-of-its-kind innovative Vine activation
that brought an exciting new dimension to the 8th annual Toyota Dream Car Art
Contest.
The winning campaign
brought to life the artwork of 90 contest finalists by using 2D and 3D animated
versions of the drawings created for Vine. This allowed people the unique experience
of viewing ideas created by the imaginations of the young artists in different
dimensions.
The duration of the
campaign saw one animated artwork released each day for 90 days both on the “Dream
Car of the Day” website and on social channels. The website featured
integration of Google Translate technology so that children around the world could
interact with each other’s creations.
The uniqueness of the
artwork and the videos garnered significant attention globally with more than
90 publications covering the campaign in more than 19 languages. Having the
campaign receive 2 Bronze Lotus are a testament to this success.
TMSM and SSF continue
